Who are we?
NOW (No Other Way) CIC is a Community Interest Company confronting the intertwined ecological, economic, and social crises of our time and the systems of thought that sustain them.
We challenge the assumptions, structures, and narratives that distort perception and normalise exploitation. Our work begins with clarity: seeing through illusions, unlearning what no longer serves, and returning to what is real.
From there, we act.
Working at the intersection of economics, ecology, and ethics, we are committed to building alternatives that are regenerative, just, and life-centred. This means rethinking how we learn, how we organise, and how we do business.
We reject models that place profit above people and planet. We work toward systems rooted in truth, responsibility, and mutual flourishing.
There is no other way now.
Why are we doing this?
Deep down we all know it’s not alright.
We are living through a systemic breakdown: ecological collapse, extreme inequality, declining health, and a culture built on extraction and short-term gain. What Jonathan Rowson calls the exhaustion of modernity is no longer theoretical; it is everywhere.
This trajectory is not just unsustainable, undermining future livelihoods and causing widespread harm, it is also irrational and immoral, with the cost of climate damage alone estimated at $600 trillion.
Everything is connected. Our wellbeing is inseparable from that of others and the Earth itself. Yet the systems we’ve built, driven by competition, profit, and separation, have severed this truth, distorting how we live, work, and relate.
Change is no longer optional. Whether sooner by conscious choice, or later through crisis and collapse, we will have to change how we live. We must reimagine what it means to be human; we are already feeling the consequences of a fire we have collectively started.
We must act now.

Our research and development think tank challenges taken-for-granted assumptions and opens up new ways of seeing and acting. We apply:
Critical Theory; a social philosophy that critiques society's power structures to expose oppression and promotes human liberation.
Action Research; an approach that produces practical knowledge that is useful in the everyday lives of people, to enhance wellbeing and foster a more equitable and sustainable relationship with our home, planet Earth, of which we are an intrinsic part.

If approved, UK-based investors may be eligible for: 30% income tax relief, subject to individual circumstances and capital gains tax exemption on disposal of shares, subject to prevailing legislation
