Who are we?
NOW (No Other Way) C.I.C. exists because economics, ecology, and ethics have been treated as separate domains, with economics given dominion over the other two. We believe this inversion lies at the root of today's intertwined ecological, economic, and social crises, and of the ideologies and institutions that sustain them.
Our work is to restore the right relationship between these three domains. From there, we ask what an all-life-centred economy would actually require of our institutions, our businesses, and ourselves. We are not offering another framework to sit alongside the existing ones. We are questioning the assumptions that made those frameworks seem inevitable.
Our vision is for a future in which economics is no longer prioritised over ecology and ethics. Economics is a tool that facilitates human exchange within ecological boundaries. Ecology and ethics provide the foundation, grounded in justice and the wellbeing of all life. When these relationships are restored, economics serves life, rather than life serving economics.
There is no other way now.
Why are we doing this?
We are living through what happens when a civilisation values efficiency over direction, when it stops asking whether it is heading the right way and asks only how to get there faster. Ecological collapse, widening wealth inequality, and a culture of extraction and short-term gain are not separate crises. They are manifestations of the same systemic failure, viewed from three angles.
We set out this reasoning in full in our position paper, Ecology, Ethics (Politics), and Economics: A Hierarchical Theory of Modern Crisis (link here). It explores how the rise of neoliberalism disrupted the proper ordering of ecology, ethics, and economics, and what restoring that order would mean in practice.
Change is no longer optional. It will come either through deliberate choice or through consequence. We would rather choose.
We must act now.
NOW movement
NOW is a paradox: the present is the only thing any of us ever experience, yet most of us spend it somewhere else, replaying the past or rehearsing the future.
NOW is also an assumption, and perhaps the most dangerous one: that the way things are currently done is simply the way things are. When a system is mistaken for reality, rather than recognised as a human choice, we stop looking for another way. That is the legacy of neoliberalism and the dominant economic paradigm.
But No Other Way is not resignation. Seen clearly, this moment holds more possible directions than we have been taught to imagine. The constraint is also the opening.
The NOW Movement is our research and development arm: a think tank that identifies the assumptions we have stopped noticing, questions the ones we have mistaken for reality, and explores what becomes possible once they are named.

nootherway.substack.com (link here) is where our thinking is tested, challenged, and refined against the realities of leading, building, and living differently. It is written for people who refuse to accept the given as inevitable.
We draw on Critical Theory to examine the taken-for-granted assumptions on which our cultures and institutions are built. We combine this with Action Research, ensuring that our inquiry remains grounded in what is actually liveable and oriented towards wellbeing, equity, and a more honest relationship with the Earth of which we are a part, not apart.
We curate across seven areas: human ecology, emerging paradigms, context and perspective, narrative and storytelling, personal mastery, economics and business, and ecovisionary leadership. We sift, synthesise, and interpret so that what reaches you has been chosen with care.

Every purchase is a signal. Every signal shapes a market. Every market helps decide what future gets built.
The extractive model that powered the last century is reaching its limits under its own weight. NOW Enterprises exists to accelerate what comes next: a portfolio of businesses that regenerate rather than deplete, and that treat profit and purpose as a single design challenge rather than a trade-off.
For us, "regenerate rather than deplete" is measured against two tests. The first is ecological. Where extraction from natural systems is unavoidable, does the business minimise what it takes and actively replenish or restore what it uses? If not, what must be redesigned or removed? The second is human. Are the rewards of the business shared fairly between the people who create its value and the people who own it, rather than flowing disproportionately to shareholders?
We connect people who want their choices to mean something with enterprises built to deserve that trust.

Investment in NOW may take the form of equity, time, skills, or strategic collaboration. We are actively seeking mission-aligned investors and partners with a genuine, long-term commitment to regenerative outcomes.
We are not optimising for a single bottom line. We measure value across three interconnected dimensions: ecological (regeneration and the active reduction of harm), social (fair work, shared prosperity, and resilient communities), and economic (viable, resilient enterprises). None comes at the expense of the others. All three are designed to reinforce one another.
